The active ingredient within catnip (Nepeta cataria) is the essential oil nepetalactone, which is actually a terpene composed of two isoprene units with a total of 10 carbons.

Chamomile

Contains up to 50% Alpha-bisabolol, this sesquiterpene is the main active ingredient in chamomile shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.

The terpene A-Pinene, has antimicrobial effects.
